The Super Hero Club of MacArthur
The smallest action can make a zero feel like a hero.
Every Wednesday at 4:10 in room A306, the super hero lovers of MacArthur try to live up to their comic book idols and discuss what ways they can help the community. Not only do they just talk about being heros in the community they put it into action. So far the Super Hero Club has volunteered at the Animal Defense League, the local no kill animal shelter.
“The club members are super heros through volunteering,” sponsor Mr. Manuel Amador said.
Along with giving back and helping out the community, they discuss the newest comic books and admire the prized “classic” comics.
“I love comic books and superheroes, so joined the club,” Brandon Gonzales (11) said. “I am glad I did because I have met new people who like the same things I do, also giving back to the community is a plus.”
Superhero Club welcomes to any students interested in joining.
“We would love as many new superhero members as possible,” Gonzales said. “Anyone who just wants to join to talk about their favorite hero or just to have a fun time with fun people are more than welcome to come to our meetings.”
