The Oscar’s, the most prestigious awards show, will premiere February 24, 2013, hosted by Family Guy and Ted creator Seth McFarlane.
“Lincoln” leads with 12 Academy Award nominations alongside Les Miserables, Silver Linings Playbook, and Life of Pi. Silver Linings Playbook is the only film this year to receive nominations in all four acting categories, a feat that hasn’t been accomplished since 1981. This year also features the youngest and the oldest nominees ever to nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role; nine year-old Quvenzhane Wallis(Beasts of the Southern Wild) and Emmanuelle Riva(Amour).
