This Feb.1, the entire NEISD district wants faculty and staff to wear red in support of the “Go Red for Women” movement to promote women’s health in effort to band together with strength, energy, and passion against heart disease and stroke.
If any members of the district would like to purchase a Red Dress pin for $5 they can be purchased through Irma Acosta in the Health Services department.
All proceeds go to the American Heart Association, and the district has raised nearly $ 10,000 in the previous years that they have participated in the movement.
Though there haven’t been any ads, flyers, or PA announcements around the school, the district hopes there will be lots of support.
“I think that’s really great,” Tristan Pace (10) said. “I hope I don’t forget.”
