Lexi Clark (10) is on the girls bowling team and on Sunday, March 3, the girls team qualified to compete in the state tournament. They will be competing for the state title March 23-24 in Fort Worth, Texas.
She was chosen as this weeks Around the Bullhorn athlete of the week.
BN: What were your emotions going into this past tournament?
Clark: We were all very nervous. I think the main motivation came from the prayer that we said before we started playing. I do all things through christ.
BN: What are your thoughts on getting to compete for the state title?
Clark: We as a team were excited, nervous and we were amazed that we qualified. We will give it our all and strive for the title.
BN: How long have you been bowling for?
Clark: I have been bowling for almost 10 years now.
BN: What interested you in bowling?
Clark: A family party was held at a bowling center when the director for the youth league became interested in my skill.
BN: What kind of music do you listen to?
Clark: I listen to pop and country.
BN: What is your favorite movie?
Clark: She’s the Man.
BN: What’s your favorite T.V. show and why?
Clark: The Lying Game. The books that follow the show are the only series that I have ever read that interest me this much.
