“We’re not going to waste any seconds; just go at it until the last minute.”
Freshman Mary Cardone believes that girls soccer can go very far in the playoffs.
“I think we’ll make it to state,” she said.
“We are losing a lot of important seniors and they would like to go as far as they can.”
Kye Morawietz believes that boys soccer can make a good run in this year’s playoffs.
“I think we’ll go very far, we have a really good team,” he said.
“We’ll go at least three, four rounds.”
Competition becomes more difficult and presents a challenge for every team that they face. To prepare for this, players have been practicing the last week to get ready for whatever is ahead.
“We’ve been doing a lot of extra conditioning and cross fit to get more strength and extra ball skills like passing and shooting,” Cardone said.
“Mentally, we’ve been just focusing and taking it one game at a time and not getting ahead of ourselves.”
