Basura Bash was held Saturday Feb. 22 at Salado Creek Park. A group of Interact club and NHS students came together with other organizations to clean the trash that has washed up in the parks plants, trees and grass.
“It was a pretty eventful day”‘ says Sarah Morales,12, ” the most interesting thing we found was a truck. We found the seats the bed of the truck and some tires”.
The cleaning of trash was cut short due to an accident with one of the NHS members.
“I had such a blast giving my part to the community its unfortunate we had to leave early but at least we got to contribute our part and get a good portion of the trash cleaned up”,Madison Parades,12, said.
