A prominent source of fashion, Coco Chanel, once said, “Fashion is in the sky, in the street. Fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.”
Hannah Roberts, freshmen, has lived by these words and is proud of it. In today’s whispering winds, it is always a surprise to what nature brings, as well as fashion.
Everyday, you may pass by two or more students wearing plaid shirts or flannel coats, but in the end, the eyes only see a crowd of checkerboards.
Hannah bases her countless number of fashion statements on nature or the music she’s “feeling” that day.
“I never fully grasped the concept of true beauty. I only saw what the world wanted me to see, but then one day, I stepped outside, and I saw what the world has prepared for me to see. It was the beauty of nature,” she said.
With her flaming red hair and tall height, she is nearly impossible to miss walking down the almost completely white halls. It is a human habit to notice bright colors and their surroundings. So, she accessorizes with large, lengthy necklaces and numerous threaded bracelets. Ranging from actual RPM records to owls, Hannah has distinguished every necklace she owns with a clothing style of her choosing.
Some days, she’ll wear a large, off-the-shoulder t-shirt with a tight mini-skirt, or go casual with a cut-off collar and ripped jeans. No matter what her mood is, she is always an emblem for fashion.
