For those who didn’t receive the code several weeks ago for owning and registering both versions of the new Super Smash Bros., Mewtwo, as of April 28, is now available for download on both the Nintendo 3DS and the Nintendo Wii U versions of Super Smash Bros.
After debuting in Smash Bros. Melee was not available in either Smash Bros. Brawl or the newest game, Super Smash Bros., fans wanted the popular legendary psychic type Pokemon to return as a playable character. Nintendo announced that Mewtwo would return to the popular fighting game as a DLC (downloadable content) character, along with a few more characters that fans could vote for.
For those who are worried about if Mewtwo’s move set has changed drastically, the only move that Nintendo has changed is Mewtwo’s final Smash. He now transforms into Mega Mewtwo Y and sends a blast of psychic energy in one direction that blasts anyone unfortunate enough to be caught in the middle of it.
In addition to Mewtwo, new purchasable costumes for the Mii Fighters have been added for those who want more suits and clothes for them. Mewtwo is $3.99 for those who only want to by the character for one device or $4.99 for those who want to buy it for both the 3DS and the Wii U.
