Showcasing their first performance of the school year, choir held a concert on Tuesday, Sept. 29 in the Brady Memorial Auditorium.
“[Having a solo made me feel] not really nervous, more so excited,” sophomore Claire Daniels said. “It’s fun, it’s very energetic.”
Daniels had a solo in “Mean”, both PFC and Aperture performing alongside her.
“My favorite part about performing is the audience’s faces,” Daniels said. “I think it’s funny looking into the crowd and just seeing everyone’s different face, and how they take the performance.”
For their fall show, choir performed songs such as “Hush, Somebody’s Calling My Name”, “Shenandoah”, and “Stabat Mater Dolorosa”.

“Getting in front of a crowd and [singing] with the choir [is my favorite part about performing],” junior Tatum Costello said. “We all work together as one and it makes great music for the audience.”
The choir usually holds six performances a year, including pop show at the end of the year.
“I [felt] excited to see how each choir [worked] hard to make the best of each performance,” senior Kenia Chavez said. “[It was a] chance for us as singers to share our music with the audience.”
In the final performance, alumni from the crowd joined in with the Concert Corale to sing “The Irish Blessing”.
“I think it was amazing that the alumni got to sing with us because it reconnects our existing bonds with them,” Chavez said.
