Members of Model United Nations will attend the Model United Nations San Antonio conference at Trinity University on Jan. 9-10.
Model United Nations San Antonio (MUNSA) is an event hosted by The International School of the Americas, in which students roleplay as delegates of countries around the world to learn about diplomacy, conflict-resolution, and international relations. The event will host over 1,200 delegates from Texas and México.
“I’m very excited, it’s great,” Bruno said. “If I put in the time and effort, I may be able to win an award.”
Model UN students think that internationalism is an important part of diplomacy and global cooperation.
“I think that it’s something that a lot of kids my age need to think about in our ever-changing world,” senior Brody Bruno said. “The arguments you have with people there, are over things you never thought you would [argue about].”
