With Halloween being yesterday, many were showing off their costumes, and so here is a list of cute costume ideas people came up with.
- Witch/Wizard
Witches and wizards have been halloween costumes for ever. All someone needed was a pointed hat and cape. Some carried a broomstick or wand around for an enchanting touch.
- Animals
Animals are so easy and cheap. For those who wanted to stay warm and cozy, they wore an animal onesie. If they wanted a classic look, they dressed in all black, put on some cat ears and drew some whiskers and a cute little triangle nose. Animals have been done for forever and are super cute to do alone or with a friend or two.
- Barbie
With the new Barbie movie, Barbie was bound to be everywhere because it’s simple and cute to pull off. All you needed was a pink dress, and a blonde wig if you didn’t have blonde hair already. The more pink the better. You could always have a ken to match, or be a solo Barbie like the movie.
- Scooby Gang
These costumes were perfect for groups or duos. Velma is an orange turtleneck, red skirt and glasses, Shaggy is a green shirt and brown pants, Daphne is a purple dress, pink tights and a green bandana around the neck, and Fred is a white shirt with a blue collar and pants to match. Last but certainly not least, is Scooby, which was an all brown outfit with a teal necklace or bandana for the collar.
- Kim possible
Kim Possible is a classic Disney TV show, and simple to pull off, with a black long sleeve and green cargo pants and a brown belt many pulled her look off.
- Coraline
Both Coraline and Wybie are easy characters to do. Coraline is a yellow raincoat and boots, blue jeans with a blue wig and red purse. Wybie is a black raincoat, blue jeans and green boots to pull it together. This costume was a great idea for duos, and some really pulled it off with a black cat.
- Horror Movie Icons
If you wanted be more scary this Halloween, a horror movie character was a super fun idea. Ghost face was super easy, just needed his mask which you could’ve gotten from Spirit Halloween, and dress in all black. Or could’ve been Jason from Friday the 13th, with a hockey mask, coveralls and some plain jeans for the look.
- Skeleton
All you needed for this look was a skeleton jacket or sweater, with some jeans with bones and a mask, or if you wanted to impress your friends and family, you could’ve done your own makeup. Skeletons are a mix of creepy or cute depending on how you wanted to look, which was all up to you.
- Alvin and the Chipmunks
Alvin and the Chipmunks were a great idea for a group of three. Simon is a blue sweater and bucket hat and glasses, Theodore is a green hoodie, and Alvin is a red sweater with the letter A, all can be matched with blue jeans. Alvin and the chipmunks are iconic and witty, so why not dress up as them?
- Men in Black
Men in black is a movie almost everyone and their grandmothers know. It was either a solo fit or a group fit. All anyone needed was a black suit and glasses. It’s that simple, and it’s easily recognizable.
