Bright and early this morning, seniors were out on the grass field socializing and enjoying the sunrise. From aesthetic photos, delicious snacks, and simply enjoying the view, it was a good time for the students this morning.
“It’s been pretty good, helping out with the senior class, seeing everyone interact, and the pictures are pretty cute too,” senior class treasurer Sofia Treviño said.
It took some effort from the senior class officers and the administration involved to make this event feel extra special to this year’s senior class.
“Well it’s mainly kid organized, so they just like to come hang out, and we got a donation from Dutch Brothers this year which was fun, and it’s just very exciting,” history teacher and senior class sponsor April Moyer said.
Organization for the event was put aside, the students got lucky with a beautiful sunny sight, and a calm morning breeze to make the event truly memorable.
“It’s cold, finally and it’s really nice, I really like seeing everyone here come together,” senior Liliana Mercado said.
Despite still being in the first nine weeks, seniors are constantly at work this time of year with the long process of applying to colleges on top of their extracurriculars and day to day classes, so they have earned a well deserved mental break.
“It’s really great, it’s really chill. I love sunrises and sunsets, especially with all the stresses of being a senior going on,” said senior Zion Zarb-Cousin
