As boredom sinks in through the nine-day Thanksgiving break (approximately 244 hours and 45 minutes), playing with fire and trying out your baking skills using cheese and raspberries seem to become the only ways to entertain yourself.
Luckily, there are a better activities people can do to occupy themselves.

The Riverwalk
A classic to many residents in San Antonio, the Riverwalk and many of its coinciding restaurants will be open on Thanksgiving Day. The Hard Rock Cafe, Cafe Ole, the Lone Star Cafe, and the Republic of Texas all have great Thanksgiving menus and prices. Also, the Ford Holiday River Parade and Lighting Ceremony takes place on November 25, from 7 pm-10 pm along the Riverwalk. Drop by and see the lighting in person, instead of on the television at home, as bands and celebrities will dawn the illuminated floats.
