Last Thursday, March 1, the Brahmadoras and the Lassies dance teams left for the NDA National Dance Championships at Disneyworld in Orlando, Florida. The Lassies got second place in hip-hop and only missed getting first by three-hundreths of a point. They also got fifth place in JV hip-hop. The Brahmadoras placed fifth in Varsity Kick, and got ninth place in hip-hop.
“I think we did pretty awesome, and we exceeded our standards that we had set for ourself in a lot of ways, especially in hip-hop,” said junior Kaitlin Burge.
Though the girls were there for a serious competition, they did get to have some fun.
“We got to ride a lot of rides, but my favorite was the Harry Potter [at Universal Studios] one,” Burge said.
The girls got back on Tuesday, March 6, and recieved many congratulations from staff and students alike. Go Brahmas!
