Health Occupation Students of America or, HOSA, is an after school club that associates with students who want to be in the medical field.
There are many reasons students join the club.
“I [wanted to] involve myself with more medical options,” Sara Powell, 11, said.
The After school program is the best for learning about the medical careers, meeting new people, and teaching people to help others.
Vice President of the club, Nicole Vaynberg, 11, learns a lot of skills from being a member of HOSA.
“I’m really looking forward to getting involved in the community with a group of people who are interested in the same field as I am,” Vaynberg said.
The club is a great way to help students learn what career they want to pursue.
“I want to work in trauma,” Powell said.
Students in the club get to have the sense of what they are getting into for the future by getting an early start and preparing themselves for the medical career they choose.
