The medical practice of fluoridation is unethical, unnecessary, and dangerous.
Fluoride is the only chemical added to water for the purpose of medical treatment. As a standard medical practice, patients must consent to anything given to them, which we cannot do when it is added to our water supply. No one reacts equally to a medication or supplement. Some individuals are hypersensitive to fluoride, and experience allergic reactions similar to that of those with peanut allergies.
In the U.S., about 70% of water supplies are artificially fluoridated. The chemical is not only in our water and toothpastes, but in juice, soda, foods, baby formulas, and pesticides. Fluoride was first added in an effort to prevent tooth decay. Now most industrialized countries reject fluoridation of their water due to its damaging effects on the body.
Studies made by the World Health Organization have shown that countries which reject fluoridation of their water experience the same decline in tooth decay as those who accept it.
A presumed safe dosage is pumped automatically into the water, but everyone gets a different amount depending on the amount of water they drink. Some are more vulnerable than others. Babies, elderly, and sickly, the most susceptible to adverse effects, drink the most water per body weight. Even race comes to play- fluoride is known to disproportionately harm black children, compared to other children of the same age.
While the mineral can naturally occur in water, large amounts are difficult for the body to process. Most of the chemical is absorbed by the bones without being excreted by the kidneys. If exposed at an early age, it can build up on the teeth and cause fluorosis, dark stains on the teeth.
Fluoride has also been linked to symptoms of stomach pain and indigestion, dietary allergies, and protein intolerance. It may also damage joints, connective tissue, the brain and testicles. Lab studies have noted to cause cancer in male rats.
In order for fluoride to serve its purpose, it does not need to be swallowed. The chemical should be applied directly to the teeth in the form of toothpaste, mouthwash, or treatments given by a dentist. Until all governments take action to remove fluoride from the water, individuals can make the investment to remove it themselves through the use of a reverse osmosis filtration system.

This is an excellent article. People everywhere are learning the truth about the dangers of fluoride. That is why only 5% of the world and only 3% of Europe add it to drinking water.
If fluoride works at all it works on the outside of the tooth not from inside the body. Thus there is no need to expose the whole body to a known toxic substance for a lifetime with every glass of water drunk. And there is no rational reason to force people to drink it against their will.
Medical professionals should be ashamed to support such a crude and unethical practice which results in cancer, thyroid & pineal gland damage, broken hips from brittle bones, lowered IQ, kidney disease, arthritis and other serious health problems.
