October not only brings cooler weather to Texas, but also the traditional Mactoberfest. This festival gives students, teachers, and the community a chance to gather for a fun filled afternoon. This year’s festival took place Wednesday Oct. 15 in the courtyard. Hosting the event, as usual, was the PALs group, who donated all the admission proceeds to Family Violence Prevention Services .
“I loved interacting with people,” senior Hillary Bauer said. “All the PALs were super helpful in getting the entire thing set up.”
Some of the events included the very popular dunking booth, where students got the chance to dunk some of the teaching staff, if their aim was good enough.
“[My favorite part was] watching Mrs. Clark and Mrs. Cox get dunked in the dunk tank,” senior Bailey Rangel said.
Students would not be able to enjoy this fun attraction without the teachers who are willing to get up in the tank.
“I looked forward to [being in the dunk tank] a lot,” calculus teacher Mr. Edmund Curran said. “Every throw I was nervous. I would like to [do the dunk booth] next year if FBLA asks me.”
The festivities of Mactoberfest were followed by the traditional Brahma March and night pep-rally.
