Music is normally composed with a slew of instruments and voices, harmonizing together to impress the audience with abundant skill and performance energy. Continuing this age old form of entertainment, members of PFC, Aperture, Premiere, and Final Cut will be singing in the auditorium Thursday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m., however, this concert will showcase one major difference; they will preform without the aid of instruments.
“[Tonight’s Concert] is an acapella pop show with soloist and group acts,” PFC, Final Cut, and Concert Chorale member senior Shawn McGinnis said “Honestly, it’s going to be awesome.”
PFC is the acapella choir, while Final Cut is the group that consists of only the male members of PFC and Premiere is it’s female counterpart. The members of these groups have learned throughout the year and years, for the handful of returning members, how to substitute for the loss of instruments with their voices.
“Acapella, I think is very undermined nowadays,” PFC, Final Cut, and Concert Chorale member junior Ethan Burrows said. “You make instrument sounds with your voice, but there is no physical instrument there besides the voice, and it is very, very enjoyable.”
Tickets are $5 and can be purchased on the lower level of the auditorium, come Thrusday afternoon.
“This is probably going to be one of the best concerts of the year,” Burrows said. “It really shows what us students can be capable of.”
