This Saturday, Feb. 21 from 10 to 1, MacArthur college advisor Ms. Samantha Vogel and other trained volunteers will be in the MacArthur library helping students file their Free Application for Federal Student Aid, FAFSA, or TASFA. This is an opportunity for senior classes to stop procrastinating and get help finding free money for college. Most colleges, as well as some scholarships, require that students file their FAFSA. All you need are your parents’ and your own 2014 tax return forms, W-2s, and social security numbers along with your alien registration number and date of expiration, your parents’ dates of birth, the month and year of your parents’ marriage or divorce, any untaxed information such as child support or disability, and your parents’ pin number if they have previously filed a FAFSA for other children.
There will be snacks provided by the AVID teacher Mrs. Reagan Beres and everyone is welcome, even if they aren’t Mac students.
