This past Tuesday night, the orchestra had an astounding concert in the auditorium. They played eight songs, “Geometric Dances” by Richard Meyer, “Molly on the Shore” and “Irish Reef” by Percy Grainger, “Tango D’ Amour” and “Journey” by Susan H. Day, “Overture in the Messiah” by George Handel, “Gregorian Chant” by Paul Creston, and ended the concert with “Rhythm Dances” by Brian Balmages. In the middle of the show they introduced their class of 2021 students, and they performed two songs.
“Our concerts are always my favorite part of the year,” cellist Sofia Crowe said. “I love performing songs for my friends and family and I look forward to them the most.” The concert was beautiful and I will definitely be returning to their future concerts. Their next concert will be around December for their holiday concert.
