JROTC cadets stood at parade rest while holding the nation’s colors and United States Armed Forces flags this morning to honor the veterans who have courageously and selflessly committed their lives to serve and protect the country. On November 11, 1918, at 11:00 a.m., World War I ended, commonly known as Armistice Day where soldiers put down their weapons and the western front fell silent. One hundred and six years later, veterans remain in the heart of this country as JROTC cadets carry out this decades-long tradition.
“It’s a reminder for people who have served their country, whether it’s the Army, Space Force, Coast Guard, Marines,” Air Force Veteran Mrs. Sang Barasch said. “It’s just important.”
