Girls Basketball moved on to round two of the area playoffs. After a win against Highlands High School, they advanced to regional semis. The victory game had a finishing score of 59-31.
“I believe we’ve been gearing up for this moment since the preseason. We’ve put in a tremendous amount of effort to move beyond the second round.” sophomore Kaitlyn Gonzalez said.
Round two of the playoffs was a game against Pieper High School. Unfortunately, our girls basketball team did not make it to regional semis after the loss. The score for this game was 62-50.
“It sucks that we lost in the second round but I have an amazing team and we fought really hard.” junior Faith Thomas said. “I can’t wait for next season because we are going to be in the same position and get past the second round.”
Despite the loss of the second round against Pieper High School, the girls basketball team demonstrates resilience and determination. Their strong performance throughout the season showcases their skill and teamwork. The team’s positive outlook highlights their commitment to learning from this experience and returning stronger next season.
