“Two bits, four bits, six bits a dollar! All for the Brahmas stand up and holler!” Sunday, Jan. 22, the cheerleaders participated in state competition in San Marcos, Texas.
Though competition was challenging, the cheerleaders prevailed, with small varsity placing third and small junior varsity placing second.
Intense competition caused the teams to be anxious in the beginning. As the routine gained momentum, the girls felt pride and accomplishment.
“I was really excited!” senior and head cheerleader Cecelia Munoz said. “I felt a feeling of accomplishment because during the routine, you’re not only thinking of that moment, your also thinking of all the preparation it took to get there.”
