The beloved story of Ebenezer Scrooge and his ghostly encounters makes its way to the Brady Auditorium, December 8th-10th. Knowing and cherishing the timeless classic story by Charles Dickens’s, fans everywhere receive a Christmas lesson of great proportions; but add a little bit of music, some jazzy choreography, and fans have themselves” A Christmas Carol: The Musical”.
Ebenezer Scrooge, a cold-hearted, tight-fisted man, who loathes anything that has to do with “the most wonderful time of the year” is visited by three gauntly ghosts who take him on a chilling journey, and teaches him the importance of cherishing what others have offer.
“It is a complete and total blast!” junior Margaret Newton said. “I love the closeness of the small company and I feel in the end it is going to be a beatiful show.”
Having a small company this go around, the theatre department has wittfully pulled up a grand musical and simplified the cast list to around 25.
Ebenezer Scrooge, played by senior Trevor Crawford, the ghost of past and present played by senior Sarah Parrish and junior Margaret Newton respectively, round up a very small company skilled on so many levels. Whether the focus is on singing, dancing, lights, or costumes, each company member plays a vital part to the success of the production.
