The Dead Weather
Starting in Nashville, Tennessee back in 2009, The Dead Weather was formed by the highly original Jack White (The White Stripes, The Raconteurs) with lead singer Alison Mosshart (The Kills). The Dead Weather debuted at the opening of Third Man Records on March 11, 2009 and immediately released their debut single “Hang You From The Heavens” after the performance. Their first album, Horehound was released on July 14,2009 with an abundance of success. Their latest album, Sea of Cowards, was released May 11, 2010 to begging crowds.

The Rakes
The Rakes began back in 2004 with their debut album, Capture/Release, which spawned the hit singles “22 Grand Job” and “Retreat”. The Rakes second and most famed album, Ten New Messages, hit mainstream radio with the top single “We Danced Together“. Having a clear record of great fashion sense and catchy lyrics, The Rakes released a third album, Klang, before breaking up in October of 2009.

Cake
Starting in Sacramento, California the alternative/modern band “Cake” became famous in 1992 with their second album Fashion Nugget after forming in 1991. John McCrea started the highly original band with guitarist Greg Brown and trumpeter Vince DiForce. Their widely known “The Distance” guaranteed them success when first released in 1996 and is considered as a modern ‘radio gem’. A new studio album, titled Showroom of Compassion is to be released January 11, 2011.
