The African-American civil rights movement reached its goal of ending racial segregation in 1968. Another one of its goals was to end discrimination based on racial biased, however there is debate about whether racism ended or the severity just decreased. In regards to the recently passed holiday and Martin Luther King Jr.’s effort during the civil rights movement students’ discussion continues.
