Every year, the fall season rolls around and a slew of great new movies pop up. From franchise blockbusters to prestigious award season films, a season like Thanksgiving proves that movie lovers of all kinds will find something to enjoy. Here are five of the most anticipated movies of the Thanksgiving season.

- Wicked For Good
The highly anticipated sequel to last year’s smash hit “Wicked”, this movie follows the land of Oz and the relationship between Elphaba and Glinda’s relationship years after the events of the first film. The film features Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey, Jeff Goldblum and Michelle Yeoh, as well as director Jon M. Chu (Wicked, Crazy Rich Asians). “Wicked For Good” is out in theaters Nov. 21. Its accompanying soundtrack releases on the same day.

- Zootopia 2
A sequel to 2016’s “Zootopia”, the movie follows Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps as they try to solve a new mystery. It stars Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Idris Elba and Shakira, who reprise their roles from the first film alongside newcomers Ke Huy Quan, Quinta Brunson and Andy Samberg. The film will be released to theaters on Nov. 26, the day before Thanksgiving.
- The Running Man
Based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, “The Running Man” follows a man who competes in a deadly game show where he is hunted down by assassins for a large cash prize. The film stars Glen Powell, Josh Brolin, Colman Domingo and Michael Cera and is directed by Edgar Wright (“Scott Pilgrim vs. the World”, “Baby Driver”). It will be released on Nov. 14 in theaters.
- Predator: Badlands
The latest installment in the “Predator” franchise, the movie follows a young outcast predator who embarks on a quest to find the ultimate challenger. The film stars Elle Fanning and is directed by Dan Trachtenberg, who directed previous franchise installments “Prey” and “Predator: Killer of Killers”. It was released to theaters on Nov. 7.
- Frankenstein
Auteur director Guillermo del Toro’s (“Pan’s Labyrinth”, “The Shape of Water”) latest film is an adaption of the famous Mary Shelley novel, which follows a man who brings a monster to life. It stars Oscar Issac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth and Christoph Waltz. “Frankenstein” began streaming on Netflix on Nov. 7.
