The last wrestling dual of the season is today, starting with Junior Varsity at 5:00 PM and followed by Varsity at 6:00 PM. The wrestling team’s last opponent is Robert E. Lee High School, but the team is confident and hoping for the best outcome. “I’m pretty sure at the end of the six minutes my head will be raised,” senior Marcus Watts said.
Many hope to make this a memorable one since it’s the last on of the year. “Hopefully as a team we get another win,” senior Joe Estrada said.
To prepare for this final dual some wrestlers are getting into the mind set in different ways. “Well, I’ve been on a diet so hopefully I can eat something!” Watts said.
Others with battle injuries have a different idea to prepare for this last match. “I have a shoulder injury, so I just have to stretch that out so it doesn’t get worse,” Estrada said.
After this Dual, the wrestlers will be focusing on intense training for District. Cheer them all day long to victory Feb. 4 at 8 a.m. in the James Madison High School gym.
